Evaluation and certification

In order for a business to be certified all the mandatory criteria must be met, and when it comes to the specific criteria, the business has to meet a part of the total.
The final decision is disclosed to the business in writing including any possible observations at the latest within a month from the inspection’s date. In case of a negative decision, the problems and the suggestions are written in a report in order for the business to take them under consideration. After three months, the business can apply and require a second audit. An annual evaluation will be taking place to all the certified businesses based on the initial procedure.

On site audit

After the registration of the business an on – site audit is carried out by an authorized auditor of the Managing Authority at a time when there is a complete production process. To carry out independent and impartial audit an unannounced audit is also essential. The business has to provide the auditor with all the data needed with sincerity and clarity. In case the business denies providing the auditor with the necessary data, the auditor draws a report through which the business is rejected and excluded from the certification process.

The award of the Quality Label

The business is informed in written for getting the Quality Label after the completion of the audit. For issuing and sending the Quality Label, the repayment of the certification cost is needed.

  • the award of the certification for showcasing it either at the outer area or the entrance of the business
  • the inclusion of the business on the website of the initiative
  • the chance to use the logo in advertorial material for promoting (catalogues, brochures, advertising entries, letterhead, banners, social media)
  • participation in promotion actions of the Managing Auhority

The validity of the Quality Label is for two years.

Recall of the Quality Label

Each business should maintain its products and services at least at the level found during the inspection and must constantly comply with the requirements of the standard.The Managing Authority has the right to recall the Quality Label the moment the above requirements are not met and also when:

  the business changes activity,
  the business does not allow to be audited or re-audited,
  there is misleading use/ falsification/ abuse/ noncompliance,
  there are repeated customer complaints that are inconsistent with the criteria and the conditions for maintaining the Quality Label,
  prior to the recall of the Quality Label, the Managing Authority shall give a written warning to the firm for immediate compliance within three months.
